Lyn Keith, owner of New England Clam Jams and It’s Thyme Catering in Westport, has been catering exquisite functions for more than 30 years. She’s created appealing raw bars for all types of events throughout the United States, and catered clambakes all over New England and beyond. Keith branched out in 2010 and established It’s Thyme Catering, a full-service catering company that delights clients with distinctive appetizers, entrees and desserts. “We spoil our guests with fabulous food sourced locally — if not from our own farm then from neighboring farms,” she says. Keith adds that New England Clam Jams is known for catering delightful clambakes and for adjusting menus to accommodate special diets. “Our chowder is probably the best-loved chowder in the area,” Keith adds, noting that the company has catered custom events for weddings, rehearsal dinners, corporate functions, birthday parties, anniversary celebrations and other occasions. Keith adds that a typical clambake menu includes a raw bar, chowder, 1¼ pound lobster, Maine steamers, corn on the cob, lemon zest cornbread, dessert and beverages.
